Red Bluff Fatal Collision Involving Semi-Truck and Sedan on Highway 99W

REDBLUFF, Calif., (June 4, 2026) — A tragic accident involving a car and a semi-truck occurred on Highway 99W at the entrance to Friendly Acres, resulting in the death of one individual.

The fatal collision was reported on June 4th at approximately 5:45 p.m. and involved a semi-truck and a sedan. The accident took place on US 99w, leaving the roadway completely blocked, according to emergency responders.

Authorities confirmed that the sedan caught fire shortly after the impact, and fire personnel from CalFire were dispatched to extinguish the flames. Despite their efforts, one person was confirmed deceased at the scene.

Fatal Traffic Investigation in Red Bluff

Emergency services, including the Red Bluff Police Department and the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office, responded swiftly to the incident. Traffic control measures were implemented, with a hard closure on northbound lanes at Riverside and southbound lanes at the hospital, to facilitate cleanup and investigation efforts.
