Justin Palomino, 41, Riding Bicycle was Critically Injured in Crash
REDDING, Calif. (Oct. 2, 2024) – A bicyclist identified as 41-year-old Justin Palomino was critically injured Tuesday in a car accident at Hartnell and Cypress Avenue in Redding.
The traffic accident occurred around noon on Tuesday, Oct. 1st, according to Action News Now.
Justin Palomino was riding his bicycle westbound through stopped traffic on Hartnell Avenue, the report said.
Meanwhile, Kao Saechao, 44, was driving his vehicle southbound on Hartnell Avenue after making a right turn from eastbound Cypress Avenue, the report said.
The driver in the vehicle reportedly collided with the bicyclist who was allegedly riding within the traffic lane.
The bicycle rider went down in the roadway and suffered major injuries as he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Paramedics transported him by ambulance to Mercy Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash.
