REDDING, California (July 22, 2016) – A bicyclist was hurt after being struck in the area of North Market Street and Lake Boulevard on Friday afternoon, according to Record Searchlight.
The collision, which was initially deemed as a hit-and-run, was reported at 4:25 p.m.
As per the article, police said the cyclist was hit by a gray BMW in the intersection. The rider complained of pain following the accident.
Meanwhile, initial reports indicated that the female driver involved left the scene. Although police affirmed that the motorist went to a nearby parking lot on Hilltop Drive, which she thought was safer than stopping in the roadway.
Authorities will continue to investigate the cause of the incident.
