REDDING (August 11, 2016)- According to a police report, Kim Bradley Pyles, 58, has been identified as the victim killed in a collision Thursday afternoon.
Police officials responded to the scene of the collision involving a pickup truck and a bicyclist at roughly 8:30 a.m. on Lake Boulevard.
Per the Record Searchlight, the driver of a Dodge truck, Melissa Johnson, 36, was heading westbound on Lake Boulevard before running a red light and striking Kim Pyles who had been riding his bike in the crosswalk.
Pyles was rushed to Mercy Medical Center with, where he later died of his injuries.
Police officials do not believe drugs or alcohol to have been involved as Johnson was not arrested at the scene.
