SUV Overturns in Collision on State Route 299 in Redding
REDDING, Calif. (Dec. 13, 2024) — Two vehicles were involved in a Redding car accident Friday afternoon on the eastbound Highway 299, just east of East Stillwater Way.
The traffic collision occurred at around 12:34 p.m. on Dec. 13th, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
CHP officials reported a white Toyota Tacoma and a smaller SUV were involved. The SUV overturned several times before landing back on its wheels between the east and west traffic lanes. The truck was blocking traffic lanes and debris was scattered across the highway.
Cal Fire Shasta County responded to help those injured in the crash, but there are no further details at this time.
At least one of the drivers managed to exit their vehicle and was walking around after the collision.
Tow trucks removed both of the vehicles and investigators are working to determine fault for the accident on Highway 299 in Redding.
