Mother and Child Injured in 5 Freeway Crash Near Cypress Avenue
REDDING (July 20, 2018) – A woman and her child were injured in a traffic collision on the Interstate 5 Freeway Friday morning, according to Record Searchlight.
Rollover Car Crash Friday in Redding
At approximately 11:15 a.m. today, an SUV rolled over on the southbound side of the interstate, just north of Cypress Avenue.
Primary reports indicated the woman driving the SUV, and her 1-year-old child were both taken to a Redding hospital following the crash. The names of the patients, and their conditions at this time have not been disclosed thus far.
Investigators believed the SUV was forced off the freeway when another vehicle merged onto southbound I-5 from Highway 44. No immediate information was released on the identity of the second motorist, and their whereabouts after the incident.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
