At Least 1 Badly Hurt in Car Crash on Cascade Wonderland Highway Friday
Redding, CA (August 20, 2021) – A car accident that occurred Friday evening on Interstate 5 Freeway resulted in injuries, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
Initial records indicated two vehicles collided head-on in the northbound side of Interstate 5, also known as Cascade Wonderland Highway, in Redding. Officials described one automobile found at the scene as a black sedan. Meanwhile, the make and model of the other car remained unknown.

Shortly after 8:43 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the crash site. First responders found a woman with serious injuries. The CHP dispatch mentioned the 39-year-old woman received treatment for major injuries including severe pain to her back.
Additional details on the wreck haven not been revealed thus far. Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate the precise cause of the car in Redding.
