Vehicle Strikes, Kills Man at Happy Valley
Redding, CA (June 29, 2022) – A deadly pedestrian accident occurred early Tuesday on Canyon Road, the Action News Now reported.
Our sources indicated a vehicle struck an individual just east of China Gulch Road; in the Happy Valley area of southwest Redding. According to the article published online, the driver of a passing 1999 GMC truck did not notice the man walking along the roadway. The motorist was unable to avoid and hit the male party on Canyon Road at about 5 a.m.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Canyon Road in Redding
When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found the victim suffering in injuries. Responding paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and passed away. Authorities only identified the deceased as a 31-year-old male from Redding.
Meanwhile, the GMC driver, 54-year-old Carl Schulte, appeared unharmed after the incident.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine liability in the deadly accident on Canyon Road in Redding.
