Woman Fatally Struck by Vehicle Near Akard Avenue
Redding, CA (November 17, 2022) – A 28-year-old Redding woman died following a pedestrian accident occurred Thursday evening on Parkview Avenue, the KRCRTV News reported.
Officials said a female party, dressed in dark-colored clothing, attempted to cross Parkview outside of a marked crosswalk. While in the middle of the roadway, a westbound 2019 Honda Civic struck the woman.
The horrible crash took place near the intersection at Akard Avenue around 6:35 p.m.
Pedestrian Killed in Redding Accident on Parkview Avenue
When rescue teams arrived at the accident scene, they found the pedestrian lying on the ground. Responding paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim but she sadly succumbed to her trauma and passed away. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Authorities mentioned the driver of the Civic stayed in the area and cooperated with the investigation process. At this time, detectives continue to work to determine exactly how and why the unfortunate incident happened on Parkview Avenue in Redding.
