2 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Accident at Quartz Hill Road and Market Street Thursday
Redding, CA (February 25, 2021) – Two people suffered injuries following an alleged hit-and-run car crash in the area of Quartz Hill Road and Market Street Thursday afternoon.
According to Action News, multiple cars collided at the Redding intersection. The wreck involved as many as five vehicles.
Preliminary investigation revealed a white pick-up truck heading north on Market Street crashed into the rear of a vehicle. The second vehicle was at a stop when the incident happened because of the red light on Quartz Hill Road.
When emergency teams arrived at the site, they located three other cars involved in the collision. Paramedics reportedly rendered aid to two people in the other vehicles. An ambulance transferred the patients to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Meanwhile, the driver of the white pickup-truck apparently took off following the impact. Officers continue to work at this time to identify and locate the hit-and-run suspect.
