2 Injured in Redding Hit-and-Run Near Keswick Dam Road and Quartz Hill Road
SHASTA COUNTY, CA (May 21, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash near Keswick Dam Road and Quartz Hill Road injured two people in Redding.
According to an article published by Action News Now, the accident occurred on Friday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 11:18 a.m.
The incident happened when a black Mercedes going east on Keswick Dam Road slammed into the rear of a white Subaru. The impact forced the Subaru to drift into the opposite lane.
The California Highway Patrol said the Subaru then collided with a Dodge pickup truck on westbound Keswick Dam near Quartz Hill Road.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and found the motorists in the Subaru and the Dodge hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon took them to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Officials did not disclose the names of the wounded victims and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, the driver and the passenger of the Mercedes abandoned their car following the wreck. CHP affirmed that the man and the woman soon fled on foot into a large brush area.
Authorities are still searching for the suspects. They believed that last owner of the Mercedes was not involved in the collision and the new owners never registered the vehicle.
Officers forced the area of Keswick Dam and Quartz Hill to close after the collision. The hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
