Tire Falls Off Vehicle Hits Car on Interstate 5 Freeway, Oasis Road
REDDING, Calif. (Oct. 30, 2020) — At least one person was hurt Friday morning when a tire fell off a vehicle and struck a car on the Interstate 5 Freeway in Redding.
The Redding crash took place about 10:50 a.m. on Oct. 30th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A white Toyota Camry reportedly lost the tire on the northbound I-5 Freeway, just south of Oasis Road, police said. The vehicle that collided with the tire is on the southbound side of the freeway.
Meanwhile, paramedics were sent to the scene to help the people who were involved in a blue Honda Pilot. It’s unknown at this time what injuries were suffered, but they were considered to be minor.
Additionally, both vehicles suffered damage and were towed away.
At this time, liability for the accident will be determined by police.
