REDDING: Man in Wheelchair Struck Dead on Hilltop Drive; Jannelle Thomas Arrested
The victim who has not been identified was in a wheelchair crossing the road at 6:20 p.m. before being struck by a Dodge van being driven by a woman.
The victim was rushed to Mercy Medical Center, where he was sadly pronounced dead at the hospital/
Per the Record Searchlight, it was determined that the driver of the van identified as Jannelle Lynn Thomas, 32, was under the influence of either drugs or alcohol at the time of the incident. Thomas has since been arrested and faces several charges.
