Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Crash with SUV in Redding
REDDING, Calif. (Nov. 28, 2023) – A Redding motorcycle accident happened Monday afternoon on East Cypress Avenue, just west of Alfred Way.
The two-vehicle collision occurred just before 4 p.m. on Nov. 27th, according to Action News Now.
A woman driving a Honda Pilot SUV was reportedly exiting a shopping center driveway and drove into the path of an oncoming westbound motorcyclist on East Cypress Avenue, the report said.
The unidentified man riding the bike was thrown into the roadway and sustained serious injuries. Paramedics responded and rushed him to a hospital for further treatment. The SUV had its airbags deployed, but there were no reported injuries.
Authorities are investigating the motorcycle accident on Cypress Avenue, but they do not suspect drugs or alcohol were a factor and no arrests were made.
