REDDING, California (March 30, 2017) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision near the intersection of Hilltop Drive and Industrial Street Tuesday night, according to KRCRTV.
The accident took place around 8:30 p.m. on Hilltop Drive.
As per the article, police said a rider was operating a Honda Shadow motorcycle north on Hilltop Drive when he was struck by a Pontiac Bonneville.
The Pontiac was going south when its driver, 75-year-old Redding resident Pamela Weber, turned left onto eastbound Industrial Street and hit the victim.
Police affirmed that the motorcyclist was reportedly not breathing and was given CPR. The patient was transported to the hospital to be treated for major injuries.
The name and condition of the rider at this time remained unknown.
Meanwhile, Weber was wearing a seatbelt and the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet when the crash happened. The incident is still under investigation.
