Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Redding Crash Near Old Oregon and Harley Leighton
REDDING, CA (November 29, 2022) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash near Old Oregon Trail and Harley Leighton Road in Redding.
According to an article published by the KRCRTV News, the accident took place last week on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at around 3:55 p.m.
The incident happened on November 24 when the motorcycle rider and a white Prius collided for an unknown reason in Redding.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
The California Highway Patrol said the two crashed near the intersection of Old Oregon Trail and Harley Leighton Road. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
They found the motorcyclist who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment.
The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP believed that driving under the influence played a role in the incident.
Officers forced the area of Old Oregon and Harley Leighton to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Redding crash is still under investigation.
