Moving Truck, Caltrans Truck Collide on I-5 Freeway
Moorpark crash Grimes Canyon
REDDING, Calif. (March 1, 2022) – A Redding crash between a moving truck and a Caltrans truck happened Tuesday morning on the northbound Interstate 5 Freeway.
The crash occurred about 12:57 p.m. on March 1st, just north of Hilltop Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.
One of the drivers was found unconscious following the collision. Also, two people suffered major injuries in the collision. Paramedics responded and transported them both by ambulances to a local hospital.
It’s unknown at this time what led up to the collision.
Finally, there is an investigation by the Major Accident Investigation Team into the circumstances of the crash.
