In this case, Mr. Jason Snider is believed to have been driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision. DUI is considered as a serious crime throughout the state which has corresponding criminal penalties for the suspect. The kinds of the charges to be filed depend on factors including the prior convictions of the alleged DUI driver, the severity of the offense, the level of intoxication and the injuries caused to another individual.

Aside from DUI, the motorist is also accused of speeding at the time of the crash. Redding Police Officer Dave Chapman will have then the right to pursue a personal injury lawsuit seeking a compensation for all the hospital bills, future medical needs, lost wages, property damage and pain and suffering.
