Driver Injured After Car Crash Near Cypress Avenue
REDDING (May 31, 2018) – A traffic collision involving a truck occurred on the southbound Interstate 5 Freeway near Cypress Avenue, according to Record Searchlight.
The accident was reported on Thursday at 8:29 a.m.
Car and Truck Accident in Redding
Preliminary investigation revealed a 22-year-old Redding man was traveling at an allegedly high rate of speed on the interstate when he lost control of his vehicle. The passenger vehicle then spun out in front of a logging truck and collided with it.
When emergency teams arrived at the crash site, they found the passenger vehicle overturned onto its side in the embankment.
Paramedics said the Redding driver suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision. The name of the injured party, and his condition at this time remained unknown.
The truck operator was unharmed in the accident.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
