REDLANDS: 2 Woman in Prius Hospitalized After 10 Freeway Crash

REDLANDS, California (October 12, 2015) — A major injury crash involving multiple drivers was reported Monday morning on the eastbound Interstate 10 Freeway at the California Street off ramp, a California Highway Patrol report said.

The crash was reported about 11 a.m. between a blue Chevrolet Cobalt, a silver Toyota Prius and a white Toyota Tacoma pickup truck.  Paramedics and firefighters responded to help victims who were trapped inside the Toyota Prius. The crash was blocking the slow lanes of the freeway and created heavy traffic.

Two women in the Prius were hospitalized. Paramedics transported Cynthia Del Rosario to a local hospital where she is being treated for major injuries and also hospitalized was Dianna Mendoza who suffered minor injuries. The two woman were taken to Loma Linda Medical Center.

An investigation is underway by police to determine liability for the crash.
