Motorcyclist Killed in Redlands Crash on Interstate 10 Near Alabama Street
REDLANDS, CA (June 19, 2022) – A crash killed a motorcyclist on the Interstate 10 near Alabama Street in Redlands.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the tragic accident took place on Sunday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 9:42 p.m.
The incident happened when the motorcycle rider and a white Honda Civic collided for an unknown reason in the city of Redlands. The two crashed on the eastbound side of the Interstate 10 near Alabama Street.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the motorcyclist down in the No. 1 lane. The victim sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to the Loma Linda University Medical Center, where they died. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the car ended up hurt or if they stopped following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Redlands crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the eastbound lanes of the Interstate 10 to shut down for nearly two hours near Alabama after the incident.
