1 Injured in Redlands Hit-and-Run Crash on Interstate 10 at Texas Street
REDLANDS, CA (November 23, 2021) – One was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash on the Interstate 10 and Texas Street in Redlands.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 3:42 p.m.
According to CHP, a red semi-truck with a white trailer slammed into a white sedan in Redlands. The two crashed on the westbound Interstate 10 at Texas Street.
Semi-Truck and Car Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found an occupant of the car who sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the Redlands Community Hospital for treatment. The report did not release the name of the wounded victim and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver of the big rig did not stop to help and fled the area. Officers forced the westbound Interstate 10 at Texas to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Redlands hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
