At Least 1 Killed in Collision Near Black Mountain Road
Redwood City, CA (June 3, 2022) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a deadly traffic accident that occurred on Interstate 280, also known as Junipera Serra Freeway.
Our sources indicated two vehicles collided in the southbound side of I-280. The crash took place near the Black Mountain Road offramp.
CHP logged the case Friday at about 4:20 p.m.
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found a Honda Accord and a silver utility truck both disabled along the freeway in Redwood City.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 280 in Redwood City
Investigators mentioned debris from the collision, or at least one of the vehicles struck a pedestrian after crash. The incident resulted in fatal injuries to the pedestrian. Despite life-saving measures performed by paramedics, the victim sadly succumbed to their injuries and passed away. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
No immediate information was available on the drivers involved in the unfortunate event.
At this time, detectives continue to work to determine liability in the deadly accident on Interstate 280 in Redwood City.
