Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Redwood City Crash on Middlefield Road
REDWOOD CITY, CA (November 17, 2021) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a crash on Middlefield Road in Redwood City.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Wednesday evening. Officers reported the incident at about 7:23 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Redwood City. The driver hit the person in the 2900 block of Middlefield Road.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Dumbarton Avenue. They found the victim who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the person. Officers forced the southbound lanes of Middlefield Road to close following the collision.
The cause of the Redwood City pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
