Teen Pedestrian Injured in Redwood City Crash on William Avenue
REDWOOD CITY, CA (August 22, 2021) – A teenage pedestrian was injured after a crash on William Avenue in Redwood City.
The KRON 4 News wrote that the accident took place on Saturday afternoon. Officers reported the collision shortly before 6 p.m.
The incident happened on August 21 when a car struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason in Redwood City. The vehicle hit him at 3075 William Avenue.
Boy, 13, Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the 13-year-old boy who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the juvenile for the minor injuries he sustained in the accident. Officials did not release his condition at the moment.
Meanwhile, the California Highway Patrol did not mention if the driver stopped after hitting the teen victim. Officers forced a stretch of William Avenue to close for a time following the collision.
The cause of the Redwood City pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
