RESEDA, California (August 8, 2016) — Three men in their 20s suffered major injuries when they were thrown out of a Ford Mustang convertible as it allegedly sped down Vanowen Street and crashed into multiple vehicles, according to the Los Angles Police Department.
The crash took place about 1:30 a.m. Monday morning, just west of Tampa Avenue. The convertible may have reached 100 mph when it crashed into two other motorists before hitting a parked car and subsequently nine other vehicles.
Paramedics rushed to the scene to treat those who were hurt and all three men were hospitalized. Police say the men were not wearing their seatbelts.
Witnesses are asked to contact the LAPD’s Valley Division at 818-644-8000 who are investigating the crash to determine whether drugs or alcohol were factors.
