DUI Suspect Byung Mi Arrested After Fatal Crash
LOS ANGELES, California (July 5, 2017) —Reyes Lazaro, 49, of Culver City was killed early Sunday morning (July 2) when he was struck by a suspected drunken driver after he got out of his disabled vehicle on the 110 Harbor Freeway near downtown Los Angeles, according to a report by the Daily News.
The fatal crash took place about 2:10 a.m. in the northbound lanes at 23rd Street. Police say the driver in a white 2003 Honda Accord struck and killed Lazaro whose vehicle became disabled in the No. 1 lane. Lazaro reportedly got out of his black 1999 BMW 323i and was standing behind it when the crash occurred.
110 Freeway Collision Under Investigation for DUI
Police arrested the driver of the Honda, Byung Mi, 49, of Cypress, on suspicion of DUI causing bodily injury.
