Man, 54, Killed in Carson Crash is Identified
CARSON, Calif. (June 7, 2022) – Reynaldo Reaser, 54, died in a multi-vehicle crash early Monday on the northbound Interstate 405 Freeway in Carson.
The collision occurred about 4:20 a.m. on June 6th between a work truck, a sedan and possibly a pickup, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The vehicles collided in the northbound lanes of the San Diego Freeway at Wilmington Avenue, the CHP reports.
Witnesses told authorities the work truck and sedan blocked the HOV lane following the collision. Also, another truck pulled over at the Wilmington Avenue off ramp.
Meanwhile, one person was reportedly lying on the ground and drywall and debris was strewn all across traffic lanes, the CHP said.
Paramedics responded and at least one person died on scene. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office identified Reynaldo Reaser as the man who died.
Finally, authorities issued a SigAlert at 5:18 a.m. for the HOV lane and lanes 1, 2 and 3.
