Motorcyclist Killed in Irvine Crash is Identified
Irvine, Calif. (November 9, 2020) – Rhett Mandel, 39, died in a collision with a truck Saturday morning at Jamboree Road and Interstate 405 in Irvine.
The man was riding his bike on the Interstate 405 Freeway prior to the collision near Jamboree Road, according to an article published by My News LA.
The motorcyclist collided with a truck hauling a trailer due to unknown circumstances.
Motorcyclist Hospitalized after Irvine Crash
Just after 8 a.m., paramedics responded to the crash scene where they located the rider with serious injuries. Rhett Mandel was rushed the patient to Orange County Global Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. He was later identified by the Orange County Sheriff Coroner.
Meanwhile, the truck driver stopped and cooperated with the police investigation. Investigators are seeking to determine liability for the fatal Irvine crash.
