1 Killed in Rialto Car Crash Near Linden Avenue and Bohnert Avenue
RIALTO, CA (August 29, 2021) – At least one was killed after a car crash near Linden Avenue and Bohnert Avenue in Rialto.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the tragic wreck took place early Sunday. Officers reported the accident at about 1:15 a.m.
According to CHP, two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Rialto. They crashed near the intersection of Linden Avenue and Bohnert Avenue.
2 Vehicles Collide
One of the cars involved slammed into a power pole nearby. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then extricated a trapped occupant from the wreckage.
Medical personnel confirmed that one person died as a result of the collision. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Linden Avenue and Bohnert Avenue to shut down for hours following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Rialto crash is still under investigation.
