Pedestrian Hit and Injured by Vehicle on San Bernardino (10) Freeway Saturday
Rialto, CA (September 18, 2021) – A pedestrian suffered injuries following a suspected hit-and-run collision on Interstate 10, also known as San Bernardino Freeway.
The California Highway Patrol group reported a vehicle struck an individual in the westbound side of the freeway. Initial records indicated the crash took place near Riverside Avenue.
Shortly after 2:30 a.m., emergency crews arrived at the scene. First responders found a male party lying in the slow lane of San Bernardino (10) Freeway.
Major Injury Hit-and-Run Crash in Rialto, September 18
Paramedics examined the victim, and later confirmed he sustained injuries consistent to being hit by a vehicle. An ambulance rushed the victim the hospital for treatment of major injuries. Additional details on the patient remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, officials mentioned the motorist involved in the catastrophic incident fled the scene. Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate the identity and location of the hit-and-run suspect in the Rialto crash.
