RIALTO: Pedestrian Hit by Police Car on Cactus Avenue at Rosewood Street

RIALTO, California (September 14, 2015) — A police patrol car struck and injured a pedestrian Sunday night near Cactus Avenue and Rosewood Street, according to a report by ABC 7 News.

The crash was reported about 9 p.m. when the victim was attempting to cross the street at an intersection without a crosswalk. The police officer hit the pedestrian who landed on the back roof of the patrol car.

The victim was taken by ambulance to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.

The pedestrian accident is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Major Accident Investigation team.
