RIALTO, California (July 7, 2015) — Two or three drivers collided Tuesday morning in a major-injury crash on the eastbound Interstate 210 Freeway, just west of Ayala Drive near the Municipal Rialto Airport, a California Highway Patrol report said.
A witness told police one of the drivers was allegedly talking on a cell phone while traveling at a high rate of speed and passing vehicles. The driver was a woman in either a blue Toyota Camry or a grey Fiat. The driver appears to have caused the crash involving two or three vehicles and fled the scene of the accident. Two vehicles were blocking the No. 1 lane and paramedics were called to the scene to help at least one person with major injuries suffered in the crash.
Police are investigating the collision and will issue a report with their findings of liability.
