MADERA: 1 Killed, Ricardo Flores and Maria Medrano Injured After Crash on Highway 41
MADERA, California (June 18, 2016) – A 3-car crash on Highway 41 resulted in one person killed and several people injured, according to an article by Fresnobee.
The authorities identified the injured parties as 43-year-old Ricardo Flores and 22-year-old Maria Medrano. Also injured from the crash were a 2-year-old girl and a 40-year-old female passenger.
The accident took place today at around 12:50 a.m.
The Fresnobee published that a 24-year-old Oakhurst woman was driving on the southbound. Suddenly, she allowed her Honda Civic to veer into the opposite lane. The Honda crashed head-on with two vehicles; first, a Nissan driven by Flores, second, a Honda Accord driven by Medrano.
The force from the impact resulted in the Oakhurst woman suffering in fatal injuries. Officers said the woman was allegedly drunk during the incident. Her name had been withheld pending notification of family.
Officers found a 2-year-old child who was a passenger in the vehicle of the deceased. The child sustained major injuries after the collision. Thereupon, she had been taken to Valley Children’s Hospital for treatment.
All injured were transported to a hospital for treatment of major trauma.
Because of some unclear factors, investigation remained underway.
