Richard Agresti, 31, Seriously Injured in Stanislaus County Crash on Keyes Road
STANISLAUS COUNTY, CA (September 4, 2022) – A fatal crash on Keyes Road seriously injured Richard Agresti in Stanislaus County.
The California Highway Patrol identified the 31-year-old Ceres man as the victim of the collision which took place on Sunday.
The incident happened when Richard John Agresti was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado west on Keyes Road, east of Pioneer Road. At the same time, a 2008 Mazda 3 was traveling at a high rate of speed east.
CHP said the Mazda then drifted into the westbound lane directly into the path of the pickup truck. In the process, the speeding car slammed head-on into the Chevrolet.
Speeding Driver Hits Another Car, Dies
Richard Agresti sustained major injuries, including a laceration to his head, following the crash. Paramedics rushed him to a hospital for treatment.
The male driver of the Mazda ended up ejected from his car and landed on the road. He suffered head trauma and soon died at the scene.
Meanwhile, officers forced a stretch of Keyes Road to shut down after the wreck. The cause of the fatal crash is still under investigation.
