
Man, 36, Struck by Vehicle in Crash on US Highway 50
SOUTH SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Jan. 21, 2025) — Richard Allen Ray, 36, died in a pedestrian accident on Sunday along US Highway 50 near the 15th Street exit in South Sacramento.
The Sacramento fire and police departments responded to the scene around 10 p.m. on Jan. 19th to help those involved, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported one person was confirmed dead at the scene after being struck by a red Kia Forte in the eastbound lanes of the highway.
A tow truck removed the vehicle involved from the roadway for evidence.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the pedestrian accident on Highway 50.
