
Richard Cortez, 52, Killed in Sacramento Pedestrian Accident Crash on Franklin
SACRAMENTO, CA (March 19, 2023) – Richard Cortez was killed after a pedestrian crash near Franklin Boulevard and 26th Avenue in Sacramento.
Police identified the 52-year-old Glendale man as the victim of the fatal accident which took place on Sunday morning.
The incident happened when a car struck Richard Cortez for an unknown reason in Sacramento. The vehicle hit him near the intersection of Franklin Boulevard and 26th Avenue.
The CBS Sacramento and ABC 10 News wrote that the collision occurred on March 19 shortly after 6 a.m. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then found the man lying on the ground.

Richard Cortez sustained serious injuries as a result of the pedestrian accident. Medical personnel rushed him to a hospital, where he soon died.
Meanwhile, police added that the driver did not stop to render aid and fled the area. The cause of the Sacramento pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced Franklin Boulevard to shut down in both directions from 27th Avenue to 26th Avenue following the incident.
