Richard Dominguez Killed in Riverside Bicycle Accident with Semi-Truck

Deadly Crash at Indiana Avenue and Jefferson Street in Riverside

RIVERSIDE, CA (Sept. 29, 2026) — A bicyclist identified as Richard Dominguez, 57, died Thursday in a collision with a semitruck whose driver was making a right turn at Jefferson Street and Indiana Avenue in Riverside.

The fatal crash occurred at 10:25 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24th, at the Riverside intersection, just south of the Riverside 91 Freeway, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Detectives working on the case determined the big rig truck was traveling northbound on Jefferson when the driver turned right towards eastbound Indiana Avenue. The Riverside man riding the bicycle collided with the trucker.

The truck driver stopped and someone called 911 for help, however, despite efforts to save his life the bicyclist died on scene.

The Riverside Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is heading up the investigation into liabiity for the man’s death.
