Jogger Fatally Struck by Vehicle at County Road 98 and 25A Friday
Woodland, CA (March 30, 2022) – Richard Hoar, a 64-year-old man, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred in the area of County Road 98 and 25A.
The Davis Enterprise reported Hoar, of Woodland, was jogging in the rural area on March 25. Officials mentioned the man was running westbound on the shoulder of Road 25A.
According to the article published online, a vehicle struck Hoar as he entered the intersection at County Road 98. The make and model of the car involved in the horrible crash remained unknown.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident in Woodland, March 25
Emergency crews arrived at the accident scene shortly after 4:45 a.m. Responding paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and eventually passed away. The Yolo County coroner’s officer later confirmed the identity of the deceased as Richard Hoar.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the driver involved in the unfortunate event. Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
