Richard Lewis Killed in Prather Motorcycle Crash on Highway 168Rider Dies in Collision Near Little Sandy Road

Prather, CA (July 21, 2022)Richard Lewis, a 43-year-old man, suffered fatal injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Highway 168 Wednesday morning.

The Fresno Bee and ABC News reported Lewis was riding a 2001 Harley-Davidson traveling west on SR-168. When the motorcyclist approached the area near Little Sandy Road, he collided with a 2006 Toyota 4-Runner and a 2003 Chevrolet Express pulling a trailer.

Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Highway 168 in Prather

Due to the force from the impact, Lewis was ejected from his motorcycle. Emergency crews arrived at the crash site shortly after 7:30 a.m. First responders found the victim suffering in serious injuries. Despite life-saving measures performed by paramedics, the rider sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. The California Highway Patrol identified the deceased as Richard Lewis, of Auberry.

Meanwhile, authorities continue to withhold information on the other parties involved in the wreck pending confirmation.

Investigators continue to work at this time to determine the precise cause of the collision that happened in Prather.
