1 Seriously Injured in Crash at Richmond Parkway and Parr Boulevard
RICHMOND, CA (September 4, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash at Richmond Parkway and Parr Boulevard.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the wreck occurred on Saturday morning. Officers reported the accident at about 5:36 a.m.
According to CHP, a BMW and a semi-truck collided for an unknown reason. The two crashed at the intersection of Richmond Parkway and Parr Boulevard.
Car and Semi-Truck Collide
The car came to a rest in the center divider while the big rig stopped on the right hand shoulder. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the West County Wastewater.
Medical personnel found one person who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. They then took the patient to the John Muir Health-Walnut Creek Medical Center for treatment.
Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at the time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the southbound side of the parkway to shut down following the crash.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the collision.
