Woman Hit by Vehicle at I-80 Freeway Off Ramp

RICHMOND, Calif. (Oct. 20, 2023) — A Richmond pedestrian accident happened Friday on the Interstate 80 Freeway at the MacDonald Avenue off ramp.

The collision occurred at around 6:32 a.m. on Oct. 20th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A driver in a light blue Mercedes Benz reportedly struck a female pedestrian who was in traffic lanes.

Paramedics responded to the eastbound side of the freeway and located the woman who sustained minor injuries in the collision.

Authorities closed down the MacDonald Avenue off ramp due to the crash and investigation into what happened.
