Riley Froom, 67, Killed in Riverside Hit-and-Run Crash on Indiana Avenue
RIVERSIDE, CA (November 17, 2021) – Riley Froom was killed after a hit-and-run crash on Indiana Avenue in Riverside.
The coroner’s office identified the 67-year-old Riverside man as the victim of the fatal collision which took place on Tuesday evening.
The incident began when Riley Froom was trying to cross Indiana Avenue near Monroe Street in the city of Riverside. At the same time, a vehicle was going east.
Driver Hits Victim, Flees Scene
Police said for an unknown reason, the driver struck him. The Press Enterprise and My News LA wrote that the accident occurred on November 16 at about 5:50 p.m.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found Riley Froom left lying on the ground. He sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel rushed the victim to the Riverside Community Hospital, where he died. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the man and then fled the area.
