Bicyclist Injured After Collision at Rio Linda and Elkhorn Boulevard Tuesday
Rio Linda, CA (April 15, 2021) – A bicycle rider suffered injuries following a traffic accident in the area of Rio Linda and Elkhorn Boulevard Tuesday evening.

According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, a vehicle struck a person riding a bicycle at the Rio Linda intersection. Officials described the car involved in the wreck as a tan Chevrolet Avalanche.
Personnel from the California Highway Patrol group arrived at the scene at approximately 6:30 p.m. Paramedics rendered aid to the bicyclist found with injuries. The CHP log later confirmed the victim suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision. Pending confirmation, the name of the victim remained undisclosed.
Additional details on the wreck have not been revealed thus far. Given that, detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate exactly how and why the bicycle accident in Rio Linda happened.
