5 Injured in Rio Linda Crash at Blacktop Road and Elkhorn Boulevard
RIO LINDA, CA (August 15, 2021) – Several were hospitalized after a car crash at Blacktop Road and Elkhorn Boulevard in Rio Linda.
According to The Sacramento Bee and KCRA News, the accident took place on Sunday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at around 2:40 p.m.
Multiple vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Rio Linda. They crashed at the intersection of Blacktop Road and West Elkhorn Boulevard.

Two cars obtained severe damage to their front ends upon impact. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and extricated one trapped occupant from the wreckage.
A total of five people ended up hurt as a result of the collision. Medical personnel rushed them to the UC Davis Medical Center for treatment.
One of the patients sustained critical injuries following the incident. Officials did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Blacktop and Elkhorn to shut down for hours following the wreck. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the Rio Linda crash.
