1 Injured in Rio Linda Hit-and-Run Crash at 16th Street and E Street
RIO LINDA, CA (July 7, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured at least one person at 16th Street and E Street in Rio Linda.
The California Highway Patrol received a call about the accident on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck on July 6 shortly after 3 p.m.
CHP said a black 2013 Jeep Wrangler and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason in Rio Linda. The two crashed at the intersection of 16th Street and E Street.
Driver Hits Another Car, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found an occupant of the Jeep who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver of the other involved did not stop to help and fled the area. Officers forced the intersection of 16th Street and E Street to shut down following the wreck.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the Rio Linda hit-and-run crash.
