Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Rio Linda Crash at Elkhorn Boulevard and 18th Street

RIO LINDA, CA (April 4, 2023) – A crash left a motorcyclist seriously injured at Elkhorn Boulevard and 18th Street in Rio Linda.

The California Highway Patrol first logged the accident on Sunday evening. Officers reported the wreck on April 2 at around 7:04 p.m.

CHP said the motorcycle rider and a gray Hyundai Elantra collided for an unknown reason in Rio Linda. The two crashed at the intersection of Elkhorn Boulevard and 18th Street.

Motorcycle and Car Collide

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the motorcyclist who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel then rushed the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. The report did not release the name of the patient and their condition at this time.

Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Elkhorn Boulevard and 18th Street to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Rio Linda crash is still under investigation.
