Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Rio Linda Crash at Elkhorn and Camelot
RIO LINDA, CA (March 17, 2023) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash at Elkhorn Boulevard and Camelot Street in Rio Linda.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Wednesday evening. Officers reported the wreck on March 15 at around 6 p.m.
The incident happened when the motorcycle rider and a vehicle collided for an unknown reason in Rio Linda. The two crashed at the intersection of Elkhorn Boulevard and Camelot Street.
Motorcycle and Vehicle Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the motorcyclist hurt. The victim sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Elkhorn and Camelot to shut down for about an hour following the wreck. The cause of the Rio Linda crash is still under investigation.
