2-Vehicle Crash on State Route 70 in Rio Oso
RIO OSO, Calif. (Oct. 11, 2023) — A car accident on Highway 70, just west of Kempton Road happened Wednesday morning in the Rio Oso area.
The two-vehicle collision occurred in the fast lane at around 6:56 a.m. on Oct. 11th in Sutter County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a red or black sedan and a truck or SUV were involved. The vehicles collided in the northbound number one lane, one motorist was pushed into the center divider. The red or black sedan sustained major front-end damage.
Paramedics responded and located at least one person with minor injuries, but it’s unknown if they were taken to a hospital or not.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed both of the vehicles from the highway.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the crash on Highway 70 in Rio Oso.
