Wrongful Death and Personal Injury Car Accident Attorney
A forensic examination of both vehicles, as well as photos that were taken of the scene, will help investigators determine which party ultimately caused the accident. Authorities will thoroughly look into how fast each driver was going, whether or not alcohol or drugs were involved, and whether or not there were any mechanical issues with either vehicle. The investigation will also consist of looking at measurements of evidence left by the involved vehicles such as point of impact, final resting positions of each vehicle, skid marks, and gouge marks.
In such cases where negligence or wrongdoing may have been a factor, the family members of the fatal victims, as well as those, injured in the crash will be subject to a wrongful death and personal injury lawsuit respectively pending the findings of the investigation. Victims may seek compensation for damages including medical expenses, funeral costs, lost future income due to injury and inability to work, pain and suffering, and loss of companionship.
